St. Malo Park

St. Malo Provincial Park
A brisk swim on a hot day is refreshing and invigorating. The absence of powerboats gives canoeists and boardsailers opportunities for calm waters and peaceful quiet that might not be found on other, more popular lakes. If water sports aren’t on your agenda, bathe in the sun and watch the clouds roll by as you lie on the warm sand. The two beaches offer ample space, and the beach volleyball courts will encourage people to get on their feet and show off their skills.
Although the park is only about one kilometre from the town of St. Malo, the natural setting of the area would never betray this fact. Sunlight streams through the trails that are lined with trembling aspen, bur oak, balsam poplar, chokecherry and wild plum. These trails are popular for hiking and bicycling in summer, while snow converts them to cross-country ski trails in winter. All of the trails are suitable for novices, which means the whole family can take part in an afternoon excursion. A Winter Festival (Festival of Friends) is held in February.
Water Fun Rentals: Rental of 18 ft. pontoon boat with BBQ, Aqua Bikes, Paddleboats, Kayaks, Tubes, and Canoes to be used on St. Malo Lake at the Provincial Park. Phone (204) 347-5514 or toll-free 1-866-226-6880.
Clean, friendly and fun, St. Malo Provincial Park has been, and continues to be, the ideal spot for family or group functions. Amenities, natural setting and a wealth of community spirit make St. Malo a natural choice for a lazy summer day or an active summer vacation.
The St. Malo Lake is now open for skating!
This outdoor rink is located on the 1st beach of the Provincial Park on the side facing Holy Cow. This is a Friends of the Park project with the help of volunteers and the Winter Employment Program. It is an addition to the Festival of Friends but also an opportunity for "Friends" to promote a winter activity in the Park for families. The more people that use the Park now for different winter activities, the better our chances for having the Park open year round in the future.
The skating is mostly family oriented but hockey is also encouraged for the young ones. Nets will be provided shortly.
