Debonair Campground Celebrates 25 yearsToday’s camping scene is much different than it was 25 years ago. People’s expectations have increased and so has the size of the RV’s. Today’s campers have the desire to be with nature but not without modern amenities.
Debonair Campground has responded to this camping evolution and are now celebrating their success with a line of fun events through the season.

2010 St. Malo & District Volunteer of the Year Presentation:
Francois Lambert – Volunteer of the Year
The definition of a volunteer is someone who gives their time, talent, and abilities to a cause that they believe in and that do so without being paid. Nominated by Catellier Seed Services Inc, this year’s recipient for the Volunteer of the Year award is Francois Lambert.
Energetic and dedicated to this community, Francois has given his time, talent and abilities to different projects and causes in his community of St. Malo that he loves. When describing Francois, one could use the words, organized, strong, leader, vocal, driven, personable, family many, and last but not least DEDICATED.
He is the current president of the Club Sportif. When the Club Sportif was in need of volunteers and committee members, Francois was able to bring together members of our community to build a strong committee to make sure that our community’s arena did not disappear. He spearheaded the Arena project because he was driven by the fact that having an arena in a community keeps Children and Youth involved. As such, Francois led this committee and together they were able to overcome adversity and challenges and were successful in securing funds for the revamping of our arena. This has enabled the upgrading of the building and the construction of new change rooms.
In the past, Francois has taken on many other projects such as the Annual Quad Run. Francois believed that it was an important activity to have in our community due to its economic impact on the community. He was instrumental in making it the latest quad run a successful activity for this community.
Francois was also involved in the Annual Family Tournament for a number of years. This is not an easy task to take on as it requires lots of hours and organization, but Francois was involved and it was a success.
Francois has been able to accomplish all of this while taking care of his family and working full-time as a Business Manager for a Credit Union. We appreciate your dedication and support and want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU publicly for your hard work.

The St. Malo & District Chamber of Commerce unveilled their new logo on Saturday December 6, 2008. A Wine and Cheese was held to commemorate this event as well as recognize and thank their valued Chamber Members. Without their support, the chamber could not exist.
